Items used:
Arduino atmega 328
Pair of Inrared through Beams
12v Relay card
Breadboard
Two 220 ohms Resistors
1 1n4004 diode
1 2n222 Transistor
9v battery or any alternative power source for the 12v relays
Jumper Wires
1 LED
Originally, this project is made to count the people that enter a specific room but unfortunately it was not accurate wand we have to come up to a new project. This project is onl y good for counting objects that pass through the beam.
How to test a relay card if it is working.
Infrared Through beam Blink test
Based on my research and my experience, these types of relay wear out pretty fast. So if you're doing a project it's not bad to have an extra.
So I've replaced the Infrared through beam with 125Khz RFID Reader. the programming was more complicated but this it how it works. I registered RFID tags into the program including the name of the owner; it also serves as an ID, when a registered tag is swiped to the reader, the system will turn on the lights, fans, etc and when it is swiped again at the "exit" reader, the system will turn off the lights and fans. And also Ive created a program that will generate a report about the people that entered the room.
